How exactly was Princess Diana related to Georgiana,Duchess of Devonshire?
I was watching The Dutchess,and i know those films aren’t very accurate historically, but I know Georgiana was supposed to be related to Princess Diana,right?I even caught the name Spencer in the movie…
Diana would be Georgina’s great-great-great-grand niece. (three greats).

Georgina’s father was the 1st Earl of Spencer, Diana’s father was the 8th Earl of Spencer.

There was only five generations from the first Earl to the 8th Earl since the 3rd and 5th Earls were childless.
